A national park, the N\u00e9ouvielle nature reserve<\/strong> is a high-mountain territory at the center of the Pyrenees chain<\/a>, located in the Aure valley<\/strong> near your Le Ruisseau campsite<\/a>. Its altitude ranges from 1,800 m to 3,091 m, yet it enjoys a warm, dry microclimate thanks to the protection of a ridge and its south-facing aspect. <\/p>

Its landscapes are characterized by flat-bottomed cirques, lakes and rocky granite ridges, revealed by a colorful mosaic of rhododendron moorland and pine groves appreciated by a multitude of birds, unique in the Hautes Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es<\/a>. Lake peat bogs, a paradise for species endemic to the Pyrenees, home to spaignes and droseras, complete the landscape with their red leaves. <\/p><\/div>

The reserve’s magnificent scenery attracts many visitors, and the Park must establish strict regulations to preserve this fragile environment. That’s why the reception area is organized, as is traffic flow, with numerous shuttles allowing tourists to access the site from the Or\u00e9don parking area. A range of services are available to help you make the most of your visit to the park: dog-sitting, sanitary facilities, fishing rod rental, brochures for various hiking trails… <\/p>
